04 View BMW DiagramSee this part on the official exploded view→This is a genuine BMW actuator, part number 54 10 2 993 883. The number stamped on the part is 54102993883; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 2993883. You will find it on our Exterior Body shelf, under Folding top. It supersedes the older number 7293444, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.
BMW draws it on 5 diagrams, among them Panorama glass roof (54_0417) and Panorama glass roof, mounting parts (54_0425). It weighs about 690 g (1.5 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
