This is a genuine BMW adapter shaft, part number 27 10 7 525 789. The number stamped on the part is 27107525789; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7525789. You will find it on our Drivetrain & Axle shelf, under Mounting / suspension. It supersedes the older number 7502843, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

It fits the E46 sedan and touring (325xi and 330xi, 2001–2005), with the M54 engine — and the European-market versions.

BMW draws it on 2 diagrams, among them Transfer case NV 124 (27_0013) and Single parts f transfer case NV 124 (27_0015). It weighs about 1.2 kg (2.7 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
