Genuine BMW part 31 30 6 757 046: Additional damper, front. The number stamped on the part is 31306757046; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 6757046. You will find it on our Suspension shelf, under Other Front Axle parts. BMW has since replaced it with 2290313.
It fits the E46 sedan and coupe (325i and 330i, 2001–2006), with the M54 or M56 engines.
BMW draws it on the Retrofit kit, Performance chassis (03_0068) diagram. BMW's catalog calls for two of these at each place it is fitted. It weighs about 70 g (0.2 lb). It also comes in BMW kit Repair kit, aux. damper, protective tube (2290313).
