What's Included

Genuine BMW part 31 33 1 124 449: Additional damper, front. The number stamped on the part is 31331124449; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1124449. You will find it on our Suspension shelf, under Other Front Axle parts. It supersedes the older number 1125215, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

It fits the E36 sedan, coupe, convertible and compact (318i, 318ti, 320i, 323i, 325i and 328i, 1992–1999), with the M40, M42, M43, M44, M50 or M52 engines — and the European-market versions.

BMW draws it on 35 diagrams, among them Guide Support/Spring Pad/Attaching Parts (31_0087) and Guide Support/Spring Pad/Attaching Parts (31_0134). BMW's catalog calls for two of these at each place it is fitted. It weighs about 70 g (0.2 lb). It also comes in BMW kits Repair kit, aux. damper, protective tube (2298902) and Repair kit, aux. damper, protective tube (2298908).
