Genuine BMW part 72 12 7 055 129: Airbag module, left door. The number stamped on the part is 72127055129; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7055129. You will find it on our Interior Body shelf, under Other Parts and accessories, body parts. It supersedes the older number 7005787, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits the E46 compact (316ti, 318td, 318ti, 320td and 325ti, 2001–2004), with the M47N, M54, N40, N42, N45 or N46 engines.
BMW draws it on 3 diagrams, among them Side airbag (72_0359) and Side airbag (72_0424). It weighs about 750 g (1.7 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
