Alternator supporting bracket — a genuine BMW part, number 12 31 7 793 090. The number stamped on the part is 12317793090; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7793090. You will find it on our Electrical shelf, under Alternator with motor and mounting. It supersedes the older number 7787942, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

It fits the E46 sedan, coupe, convertible and touring (330d, 1999–2005), with the M57 or M57N engines.

BMW draws it on 3 diagrams, among them Engine block mounting parts (11_2311) and Engine block mounting parts (11_3420). It weighs about 140 g (0.3 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
