Genuine BMW part 71 60 7 669 717: Aluminium case, left. The number stamped on the part is 71607669717; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7669717. You will find it on our Tools shelf, under Other Equipment Parts parts. It supersedes the older number 7664523, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.

BMW draws it on the Aluminium case (46_0786) diagram. It weighs about 5.0 kg (11 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
