Articulated car jack, steel — a genuine BMW part, number 71 12 6 757 131. The number stamped on the part is 71126757131; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 6757131. You will find it on our Tools shelf, under Other Equipment Parts parts. It supersedes the older numbers 1094878 and 1095406, so a part carrying any of them is the same part. BMW has since replaced it with 6767944.

It fits every E46 body style (320i, 323i, 325i and 328i, 1999–2006), with the M52, M54 or M56 engines — and the European-market versions.

BMW draws it on the Tool kit/Lifting jack (71_0183) diagram. It weighs about 1.8 kg (4.0 lb).
