This is a genuine BMW axial gasket, part number 11 53 1 247 124. The number stamped on the part is 11531247124; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1247124. You will find it on our Engine shelf, under Thermostat and coolant lines. It supersedes the older number 7503535, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits every E36 body style (318i, 1992–1999), with the M43 engine — and the European-market versions. It also fits the E46 sedan, coupe and touring (316i, 316i 1.6, 316i 1.9 and 318i, 1997–2001), with the M43 engine.
BMW draws it on 6 diagrams, among them Waterpump - Thermostat (11_1393) and Waterpump - Thermostat (11_2065). It also comes in BMW kits Gasket set cylinder head asbestos free (0007610) and Gasket set cylinder head asbestos free (0007612) and 1 more.
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
