02 View BMW DiagramSee this part on the official exploded view→Axle — a genuine BMW part, number 31 42 2 314 501. The number stamped on the part is 31422314501; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 2314501. You will find it on our Suspension shelf, under Telescopic fork, Telelever. It supersedes the older number 2314302, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.
BMW draws it on 3 diagrams, among them Trailing arm (31_0336) and Trailing arm (31_0399). It weighs about 369 g (0.8 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
