Baggage porter kit — a genuine BMW part, number 77 44 8 521 412. The number stamped on the part is 77448521412; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 8521412. It supersedes the older number 7699528, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.
BMW draws it on the Case holder with luggage grid (77_0152) diagram. It weighs about 2.0 kg (4.5 lb).
