This is a genuine BMW basic control unit DDE EU4 Performance, part number 13 61 8 512 591. The number stamped on the part is 13618512591; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 8512591. You will find it on our Air Intake shelf, under Electronic control unit. It supersedes the older number 8510908, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.
BMW draws it on the Power Kit (03_1125) diagram. It weighs about 750 g (1.7 lb). It also comes in BMW kits Power Kit (2179614) and Power Kit (2179616) and 2 more.
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
