Genuine BMW part 64 11 8 391 705: Blower resistor. The number stamped on the part is 64118391705; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 8391705. You will find it on our AC & Climate Control shelf, under Other Heater and Air Conditioning parts. It supersedes the older number 1387974, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

It fits the E36 sedan, coupe and convertible (318i, 320i, 325i and M3, 1992–1999), with the M40, M42, M43, M50 or S50 engines — and the European-market versions.

BMW draws it on 2 diagrams, among them Electric Parts for Heater (64_0560) and Electric Parts for AC Unit (64_0614). It weighs about 36 g (under 0.1 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
