Genuine BMW part 63 12 6 901 481: Bracket, control unit, Xenon light. The number stamped on the part is 63126901481; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 6901481. You will find it on our Lighting shelf, under Headlight. It supersedes the older number 6901482, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits the E46 sedan, coupe, convertible and touring (320i, 323i, 325i and 328i, 1999–2006), with the M52, M54 or M56 engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on 2 diagrams, among them Single parts, xenon headlight (63_0550) and Single parts, xenon headlight (63_0806). BMW's catalog calls for two of these at each place it is fitted. It weighs about 130 g (0.3 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
