Genuine BMW part 41 00 7 042 350: Bracket f battery mounting. The number stamped on the part is 41007042350; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7042350. You will find it on our Exterior Body shelf, under Other Bodywork parts. It supersedes the older number 8196049, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits the E46 sedan, coupe, convertible and touring (320i, 323i, 325i, 328i, 330i and M3, 1999–2006), with the M52, M54 or S54 engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on the Rear Wheelhouse/Floor Parts (41_1267) diagram. It weighs about 100 g (0.2 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
