This is a genuine BMW carrier, part number 51 11 2 267 451. The number stamped on the part is 51112267451; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 2267451. You will find it on our Interior Body shelf, under Other Body equipment parts. It supersedes the older number 8164930, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits the E36 sedan, coupe, convertible and compact (318i, 318ti, 320i, 323i, 325i, 328i and M3, 1992–1999), with the M42, M44, M50, M52, S50 or S52 engines.
BMW draws it on the Support, front (51_2020) diagram. It weighs about 5.0 kg (11 lb). It also comes in BMW kit Retrofit kit, spoiler (2486060).
