01 View BMW DiagramSee this part on the official exploded view→This is a genuine BMW carrier, part number 51 12 8 146 015. The number stamped on the part is 51128146015; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 8146015. You will find it on our Interior Body shelf, under Door, rear. It supersedes the older number 8156230, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits every E36 body style (318i, 318ti, 320i, 323i, 325i, 328i and M3, 1992–1999), with the M40, M42, M43, M44, M50 or M52 and other engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on 2 diagrams, among them Carrier, rear (51_2017) and Carrier, rear (51_2018). It weighs about 4.7 kg (10 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
