Carrier, outside door handle, rear left — a genuine BMW part, number 51 22 7 044 841. The number stamped on the part is 51227044841; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7044841. You will find it on our Interior Body shelf, under Other Body equipment parts. It supersedes the older number 7111927, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits the E46 sedan and touring (320i, 325i and 330i, 2001–2005), with the M54 or M56 engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on the Door swivel handle, rr (from 09/00) (41_1355) diagram. It weighs about 290 g (0.6 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
