Case supp. kit, no install instructions — a genuine BMW part, number 46 54 1 239 487. The number stamped on the part is 46541239487; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1239487. You will find it on our Supplies & Hardware shelf, under Luggage system. It supersedes the older numbers 1234597 and 1234638, so a part carrying any of them is the same part.
BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.
BMW draws it on the Set Case Holder (46_0027) diagram. It weighs about 1.8 kg (4.0 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
