Genuine BMW part 65 12 9 196 669: CD Changer. The number stamped on the part is 65129196669; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 9196669. You will find it on our Instruments & Electronics shelf, under Radio, amplifier, CD player. It supersedes the older number 9181326, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.

BMW draws it on 18 diagrams, among them Retrofit, CD changer (03_1259) and Retrofit kit, CD-changer (03_1261). It weighs about 1.8 kg (4.0 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
