Genuine BMW part 26 12 1 226 657: Centre Mount. The number stamped on the part is 26121226657; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1226657. You will find it on our Drivetrain & Axle shelf, under Other Drive Shaft parts. It supersedes the older number 1226442, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.

BMW draws it on 6 diagrams, among them Drive Shaft-Cen.Bearing-Const.Vel.Joint (26_0047) and Drive Shaft-Cen.Bearing-Const.Vel.Joint (26_0050). It weighs about 409 g (0.9 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
