02 View BMW DiagramSee this part on the official exploded view→Changeover module — a genuine BMW part, number 82 89 0 004 165. The number stamped on the part is 82890004165; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 0004165. You will find it on our Merchandise & Accessories shelf, under Other Universal Accessories parts. It supersedes the older number 9416219, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits every E46 body style (320i, 323i, 325i, 328i and 330i, 1999–2006), with the M52 or M54 engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on 10 diagrams, among them Sound Modul system (03_1428) and Sound Modul system (03_1429). It weighs about 520 g (1.1 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
