06 View BMW DiagramSee this part on the official exploded view→Circlip — a genuine BMW part, number 13 54 1 722 007. The number stamped on the part is 13541722007; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1722007. You will find it on our Air Intake shelf, under Throttle valve and operation. It supersedes the older number 1730367, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits every E36 body style (318i, 320i, 323i, 325i, 328i and M3, 1992–1999), with the M40, M50, M52 or S50 engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on 4 diagrams, among them Throttle housing Assy (13_0364) and Throttle housing Assy (13_1424). BMW's catalog calls for two of these at each place it is fitted. It weighs about 1 g (under 0.1 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
