Genuine BMW part 18 10 1 723 709: Clamp. The number stamped on the part is 18101723709; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1723709. You will find it on our Exhaust shelf, under Catalytic converter/front silencer.
It fits the E36 sedan (316i, 1990–1991), with the M40 engine.
BMW draws it on the Rear silencer (18_0226) diagram. It weighs about 350 g (0.8 lb). It also comes in BMW kit Exhaust mounting kit (9057001).
