Clamp — a genuine BMW part, number 51 13 7 232 420. The number stamped on the part is 51137232420; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7232420. You will find it on our Interior Body shelf, under Other Body equipment parts. It supersedes the older number 7184574, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.
BMW draws it on 4 diagrams, among them Retrofit, Satin Silver Bonnet, Surrounds (03_1891) and Roof moulding/Roof rail (51_7028). It also comes in BMW kit Retrofit surrounds, Silver Satin Bonnet (2407563).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
