-- View BMW DiagramSee this part on the official exploded view→This is a genuine BMW clamp, part number 64 54 4 378 726. The number stamped on the part is 64544378726; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 4378726. You will find it on our AC & Climate Control shelf, under Other Heater and Air Conditioning parts. It supersedes the older number 9068259, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.
BMW draws it on the Climate Capacitor/Additional Blower (64_0647) diagram. It weighs about 2 g (under 0.1 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
