27 View BMW DiagramSee this part on the official exploded view→This is a genuine BMW clip Natur, part number 51 49 7 054 228. The number stamped on the part is 51497054228; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7054228. You will find it on our Interior Body shelf, under Other Body equipment parts. It supersedes the older number 8158273, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits the E46 touring (323i and 325i, 2000–2005), with the M52, M54 or M56 engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on 10 diagrams, among them Lower Tail Lid Trim Panel (51_2396) and Trim panel, trunk lid (51_2403). BMW's catalog calls for two of these at each place it is fitted.
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
