Genuine BMW part 51 41 8 172 050: Clip, yellow. The number stamped on the part is 51418172050; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 8172050. You will find it on our Interior Body shelf, under Other Body equipment parts. It supersedes the older number 0151699, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.
BMW draws it on 8 diagrams, among them Rear end (41_1312) and Door trim panel, front (51_2278). It also comes in BMW kit Retrofit Business package (2220083).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
