This is a genuine BMW collar screw, part number 12 51 7 805 605. The number stamped on the part is 12517805605; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7805605. You will find it on our Electrical shelf, under Engine wiring harness. It supersedes the older number 1437790, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

It fits the E36 sedan, coupe, convertible and compact (318i and 318ti, 1992–1999), with the M44 engine — and the European-market versions. It also fits every E46 body style (316i, 316i 1.6, 316i 1.9, 318d, 318i, 318td and 330d, 1997–2005), with the M43, M47N, M57 or M57N engines.

BMW draws it on 19 diagrams, among them Vacuum Control - Vacuum Tube (11_1658) and Air Pump F Vacuum Control (11_2071). It weighs about 10 g (under 0.1 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
