Column front left — a genuine BMW part, number 41 00 1 974 985. The number stamped on the part is 41001974985; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1974985. You will find it on our Exterior Body shelf, under Other Bodywork parts. It supersedes the older number 1938047, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.

BMW draws it on the Body-Side Frame (41_0265) diagram. It weighs about 8.3 kg (18 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
