Genuine BMW part 24 20 7 521 972: Compensating plate. The number stamped on the part is 24207521972; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7521972. You will find it on our Transmission shelf, under Control unit EGS. It supersedes the older number 0418459, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.
BMW draws it on 4 diagrams, among them GA6HP26Z output (24_1012) and GA6HP32Z output (24_1033). It also comes in BMW kit Output flange set (7526637).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
