This is a genuine BMW condensation water outlet hose, part number 64 11 8 371 438. The number stamped on the part is 64118371438; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 8371438. You will find it on our AC & Climate Control shelf, under Other Heater and Air Conditioning parts. It supersedes the older number 1387792, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits the E36 sedan, coupe, convertible and touring (318i, 320i, 323i, 325i and 328i, 1992–1999), with the M40, M42, M43, M44, M50 or M52 engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on 2 diagrams, among them Drying Container/Small Parts (64_0163) and Drying Container/Small Parts (64_2135). It weighs about 24 g (under 0.1 lb). It also comes in BMW kit Installing Set Automatic Air Conditioner (9405891).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
