This is a genuine BMW connecting rod bolt, part number 11 24 7 589 671. The number stamped on the part is 11247589671; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7589671. You will find it on our Engine shelf, under Connecting rod with bearing. It supersedes the older numbers 1744319 and 7558877, so a part carrying any of them is the same part.

It fits the E36 sedan, coupe, convertible and touring (328i, 1996–1999), with the M52 engine. It also fits every E46 body style (328i and 330i, 1999–2006), with the M52 or M54 engines — and the European-market versions.
