The number stamped on the part is 13417839843; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7839843. You will find it on our Air Intake shelf, under Other Fuel preparation and control parts. It supersedes the older number 7831085, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits the E46 coupe and convertible (M3, 2001–2006), with the S54 engine.
BMW draws it on 3 diagrams, among them Idle regul.valve/additional air line (13_0910) and Idle regul.valve/additional air line (13_1028). BMW's catalog calls for six of these at each place it is fitted. It weighs about 20 g (under 0.1 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
