01 View BMW DiagramSee this part on the official exploded view→Console — a genuine BMW part, number 51 16 8 162 678. The number stamped on the part is 51168162678; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 8162678. You will find it on our Interior Body shelf, under Mirrors, trims, storage compartments. It supersedes the older number 8132852, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits the E36 sedan and coupe (318i, 320i and 325i, 1992–1999), with the M40, M42, M43 or M50 engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on 4 diagrams, among them Centre console cubbies (51_3092) and Centre console cubbies (51_3093). It weighs about 880 g (1.9 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
