Control unit, Security 2 — a genuine BMW part, number 61 35 6 937 492. The number stamped on the part is 61356937492; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 6937492. You will find it on our Electrical shelf, under Control units, modules. It supersedes the older number 6935792, so a part carrying that number is the same part. BMW has since replaced it with 6957496.
BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.
It weighs about 270 g (0.6 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
