17 View BMW DiagramSee this part on the official exploded view→Cover — a genuine BMW part, number 12 52 1 724 149. The number stamped on the part is 12521724149; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1724149. You will find it on our Electrical shelf, under Other Engine Electrical System parts. It supersedes the older number 1724335, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits the E36 sedan, coupe and convertible (320i, 325i and M3, 1992–1995), with the M50 or S50 engines.
BMW draws it on 3 diagrams, among them Cable harness fixings (12_0380) and Ignition coil/spark plug (12_1671). It weighs about 23 g (under 0.1 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
