This is a genuine BMW cover lid, part number 07 11 9 906 056. The number stamped on the part is 07119906056; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 9906056. You will find it on our Supplies & Hardware shelf, under Group 11. It supersedes the older number 9937277, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

It fits the E36 sedan, touring and compact (318tds, 325td and 325tds, 1991–1996), with the M41 or M51 engines. It also fits every E46 body style (318d, 318td, 320d, 320td and 330d, 1998–2005), with the M47, M47N, M57 or M57N engines.

BMW draws it on 6 diagrams, among them Cylinder head (11_1328) and Cylinder head (11_1443). It weighs about 10 g (under 0.1 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
