Covering cap — a genuine BMW part, number 12 52 7 502 456. The number stamped on the part is 12527502456; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7502456. You will find it on our Electrical shelf, under Other Engine Electrical System parts. It supersedes the older numbers 1744635 and 1744653, so a part carrying any of them is the same part.

It fits every E46 body style (320i, 325i, 330i and M3, 2001–2006), with the M54 or S54 engines — and the European-market versions.

BMW draws it on 9 diagrams, among them Basic control unit DME (12_1081) and Basic control unit DME / EK924 (12_1133).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
