Genuine BMW part 16 11 7 161 999: Damper ring. The number stamped on the part is 16117161999; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7161999. You will find it on our Fuel System shelf, under Fuel tank with filler pipe. It supersedes the older number 4348290, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

It fits the E46 sedan and touring (330xd, 2003), with the M57N engine.

BMW draws it on the Fuel pipe, Diesel pump (16_0545) diagram. BMW's catalog calls for two of these at each place it is fitted. It weighs about 30 g (under 0.1 lb).
