What's Included

Deflection pulley — a genuine BMW part, number 11 28 7 841 228. The number stamped on the part is 11287841228; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7841228. You will find it on our Engine shelf, under Other Engine parts. It supersedes the older number 1748130, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

It fits every E36 body style (318i, 318ti, 320i, 323i, 325i, 328i and M3, 1992–1999), with the M42, M43, M50, M52, S50 or S52 engines — and the European-market versions. It also fits the E46 convertible (320i, 2000–2003), with the M54 engine.

BMW draws it on 20 diagrams, among them Belt Drive Water Pump/Alternator (11_1344) and Belt Drive Water Pump/Alternator (11_1387). It weighs about 280 g (0.6 lb). It also comes in BMW kit Set, belt drive, water pump, alternator (2250244).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
