Dolly with shroud — a genuine BMW part, number 82 71 0 301 852. The number stamped on the part is 82710301852; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 0301852. You will find it on our Merchandise & Accessories shelf, under Other Universal Accessories parts. It supersedes the older number 9415492, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits the E36 convertible (318i, 323i, 325i, 328i and M3, 1994–1999), with the M43, M50, M52 or S50 engines — and the European-market versions. It also fits the E46 convertible (323i, 325i, 330i and M3, 2000–2006), with the M52, M54 or S54 engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on 4 diagrams, among them Hardtop holder/mobile (03_3380) and Hardtop holder/mobile (03_3381). It weighs about 5.4 kg (12 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
