This is a genuine BMW double check valve, part number 64 12 8 371 888. The number stamped on the part is 64128371888; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 8371888. You will find it on our AC & Climate Control shelf, under Other Heater and Air Conditioning parts. It supersedes the older number 8363561, so a part carrying that number is the same part. BMW has since replaced it with 8379872.

BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.

BMW draws it on 3 diagrams, among them Independent heating water valves (64_0627) and Independent heating water valves (64_0697). It weighs about 93 g (0.2 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
