Genuine BMW part 12 42 1 737 755: Earth cable. The number stamped on the part is 12421737755; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1737755. You will find it on our Electrical shelf, under Other Engine Electrical System parts. It supersedes the older numbers 1714262, 1737326 and 1737753, so a part carrying any of them is the same part.

It fits every E36 body style (318i, 318ti, 320i, 323i and 325i, 1992–1999), with the M40, M42, M43, M44, M50 or M52 engines — and the European-market versions.

BMW draws it on 27 diagrams, among them Battery Cable(battery Rear) (12_0364) and Battery Cable(battery Rear) (12_0427). It weighs about 130 g (0.3 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
