This is a genuine BMW eccentric shaft sensor, part number 11 37 7 527 016. The number stamped on the part is 11377527016; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7527016. You will find it on our Engine shelf, under Other Engine parts. It supersedes the older number 7513783, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

It fits every E46 body style (316i, 316ti, 318i and 318ti, 2001–2004), with the N42 or N46 engines.

BMW draws it on the Valve timing gear, eccentric shaft (11_3009) diagram. It weighs about 40 g (under 0.1 lb).
