Genuine BMW part 54 12 7 199 322: Emergency tool elect.window/sliding roof. The number stamped on the part is 54127199322; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7199322. You will find it on our Exterior Body shelf, under Other Sliding Roof / Folding Top parts. It supersedes the older number 1873572, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits the E36 sedan, coupe, touring and compact (318i, 318ti, 320i, 323i, 325i and 328i, 1992–1999), with the M40, M42, M43, M44, M50 or M52 engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on 62 diagrams, among them Sliding Lifting Roof Drive (54_0175) and Sliding Lifting Roof Drive (54_0176). It weighs about 20 g (under 0.1 lb). It also comes in BMW kit Retro.kit, window lifts, electric, front (9058520).
