01 View BMW DiagramSee this part on the official exploded view→This is a genuine BMW engine compartment screening, part number 51 71 8 242 567. The number stamped on the part is 51718242567; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 8242567. You will find it on our Interior Body shelf, under Other Body equipment parts. It supersedes the older numbers 8252664 and 8252666, so a part carrying any of them is the same part.
It fits the E46 sedan, coupe and touring (320i, 323i, 325i, 328i and 330i, 1999–2006), with the M52 or M54 engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on the Insulation (51_3274) diagram. It weighs about 1.4 kg (3.2 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
