What's Included

Evaporator temperature sensor — a genuine BMW part, number 64 51 8 364 458. The number stamped on the part is 64518364458; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 8364458. You will find it on our AC & Climate Control shelf, under Other Heater and Air Conditioning parts. It supersedes the older number 8351037, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

It fits every E36 body style (318i, 318ti, 320i, 323i and 325i, 1992–1999), with the M40, M42, M43, M44, M50 or M52 engines — and the European-market versions.

BMW draws it on 6 diagrams, among them Evaporator / Expansion valve (64_0129) and Evaporator / Expansion valve (64_0130). It weighs about 14 g (under 0.1 lb). It also comes in BMW kit Installing Set Automatic Air Conditioner (9405891).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
