This is a genuine BMW BMW 6 CD changer ai (exchange unit), part number 65 12 6 960 514. The number stamped on the part is 65126960514; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 6960514. BMW's catalog calls it “Exch. BMW 6 CD CHANGER AI”. You will find it on our Instruments & Electronics shelf, under Radio, amplifier, CD player. It supersedes the older number 6945021, so a part carrying that number is the same part. BMW has since replaced it with 9112757.

It fits the E46 coupe and convertible (323i, 325i, 328i, 330i and M3, 2000–2006), with the M52, M54, M56 or S54 engines — and the European-market versions.

BMW draws it on 5 diagrams, among them CD Changer (65_0457) and CD Changer (65_0703). It weighs about 1.9 kg (4.1 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
