Control unit Night Vision Camera (exchange unit) — a genuine BMW part, number 66 54 6 987 551. The number stamped on the part is 66546987551; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 6987551. BMW's catalog calls it “Exch control unit Night Vision Camera”. It supersedes the older number 6974845, so a part carrying that number is the same part. BMW has since replaced it with 9113267.
BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.
